A Night of Laughter and Community: Vollans Mediation Hosts Fundraising Quiz for the Centre  

In May 2025, Vollans Mediation generously hosted a fundraising quiz night in support of the Centre and what a night it was. From homemade cakes to a brilliantly crafted Yorkshire‑themed quiz (courtesy of one of the Vollans team), the evening brought together fun, friendly competition, and a shared passion for strengthening families across Leeds. 

The event offered a fantastic opportunity to showcase the work we do, introduce new supporters to our mission, and highlight the impact the Centre has within the community. Guests learned more about who we are, the families we support, and the vital role our service plays in helping parents and children rebuild relationships during times of separation. 

Our partnership with Vollans Mediation has grown steadily over the years, built on mutual trust and a shared commitment to supporting families. We regularly refer families to one another, ensuring that parents navigating separation receive the right support at the right time. Their decision to champion our cause through this event reflects the strength of that relationship. 

The quiz night also created a rare and special moment for the entire Vine volunteer team to come together. These volunteers are the heartbeat of the Centre without their dedication, compassion, and consistency, our service simply could not run. Celebrating them, and giving them space to enjoy an evening together, was a highlight in itself. 

The room was filled with laughter, friendly rivalry, and a real sense of community. It was a reminder that fundraising doesn’t have to be daunting or serious, sometimes it can be joyful, light‑hearted, and deeply meaningful all at once. 

A huge thank‑you to Vollans Mediation, everyone who attended, and all who continue to support the Centre. Nights like this help sustain our work and ensure families across Leeds have a safe, welcoming space to reconnect and grow.
